Timo Sathorn: A Scandinavian-Inspired Retreat in Central Bangkok
Tucked inside the Phanjaphum Building on South Sathorn Road, Timo is a calm, sunlit escape from the energy of Bangkok’s business district. Since opening in late 2024, the café has blended Nordic minimalism with an inviting,
lived-in warmth.
Ambience & Design
Stepping into Timo feels like walking into a friend’s thoughtfully designed living room. Scandinavian simplicity defines the space — pale wood, soft white walls, and arched windows that flood the room with natural light. Curated ceramics, canvas artwork, and greenery add warmth without disturbing the serene aesthetic. The name “Timo,” meaning thyme in Italian, hints at the café’s guiding values: simplicity, comfort, and care — all reflected in its design and atmosphere.
Menu Highlights
Timo’s menu focuses on comforting, well-crafted dishes made with seasonal ingredients. Breakfast and brunch offerings include Honey-Glazed Thick-Cut Bacon over creamy scrambled eggs with sourdough, and a rich yet approachable Braised Wagyu Short Rib Brioche Roll. For something lighter, the kale Caesar salad is a refreshing midday option.
The drink menu is equally thoughtful. Alongside espresso classics, you’ll find playful options like a tiramisu latte, plus a range of teas, cold-pressed juices, and light sodas or herbal drinks for non-coffee lovers.
Desserts are a major draw: the Honey Brioche Jenga, Thyme & Herbs Brioche Jenga, and their signature tiramisu — praised for its balanced sweetness — are among the crowd favorites.
Experience & Practical Details
Open daily from 07:30 to around 16:30, Timo is ideal for early breakfasts, relaxed brunches, or quiet afternoons. Parking is available — a welcome convenience in Sathorn.
