Hua Hin has no shortage of big beachfront resorts, but not every trip needs one. NH Hua Hin takes a different approach: a stylish, mid-sized hotel at the quieter southern end of town, a few minutes' walk from the beach, with a rooftop infinity pool, a proper kids' club and room rates that are kinder than most resorts on the sand.
It is one of the newest names in Hua Hin, having joined the NH Hotels & Resorts brand in January 2026, and it suits families, couples on a long weekend from Bangkok and anyone who would rather spend their budget on Hua Hin's markets and seafood than on a beachfront room.
NH Hua Hin is managed by Minor Hotels, the Thai hospitality group behind Anantara and Avani, and is the company's third property in Hua Hin. Minor took over management of the hotel on 16 January 2026 and rebranded it under NH, its European-born four-star brand. It is the fourth NH hotel in Thailand.
The building has 152 rooms and suites over seven floors, set around gardens and dramatic white wire sculptures that wrap the pool and terraces. The design feels calm and modern, with warm timber, glass and a lot of greenery, more boutique than business hotel.
Rooms start at 30 square metres, and most look out over the city or the hills of southern Hua Hin. Every room has free Wi-Fi, a 4K smart TV and tea and coffee facilities. The main categories are:
Standard and Deluxe Rooms: bright, simple rooms with king or twin beds, good for couples and short stays
Deluxe Terrace Rooms: lower-floor rooms with a private terrace onto the garden
Studios: a little more space for longer stays
Family Terrace Rooms: with bunk beds for children and an outdoor terrace
One Bedroom Suites: a separate living area, the best choice if you want room to spread out
Unusually for Hua Hin, the hotel is pet-friendly. Dogs and cats are accepted in selected rooms on the first and second floors, with a limit of two pets and a combined weight of under 20 kilograms. Contact the hotel before booking, as fees and conditions apply.
The highlight is the rooftop. The infinity pool sits among trees and wire arches, with views out towards the sea and the hills. Next to it, Som Bar serves signature cocktails and is the obvious place to be at sunset.
Families get their own outdoor pool with a shallow children's area, plus a Kids' Club with indoor and outdoor play spaces. Note that the club is a play area rather than a supervised service, so parents should plan to stay with younger children.
SAAN, the all-day restaurant, serves Thai and international dishes from 6am to 10pm, and the hotel keeps its own chef's garden of fresh herbs. There is also a Lobby Café for coffee and snacks, and in-room dining.
A small fitness room overlooks the pool. For events, the Dok Jok meeting room covers 110 square metres and holds up to 90 people theatre-style, and the hotel also arranges weddings and private celebrations.
NH Hua Hin is on Soi Mooban Nongkhae, just off Phetkasem Road in Nong Kae, at the southern end of Hua Hin. Hua Hin Beach is roughly 400 to 600 metres away, although you will need to cross the busy main road to reach it. Khao Takiab, with its hilltop temple and monkeys, is close by, and Cicada Market, the Hua Hin Night Market, BluPort Hua Hin and Market Village are all a short drive away.
Hua Hin is about 200 kilometres south of Bangkok, a drive of around three hours. Hua Hin Airport is about 20 minutes away by car, and the hotel offers an airport shuttle for an extra charge. Free on-site parking makes it easy if you are driving down from Bangkok.
Pro: A genuinely good-looking hotel, with a rooftop pool and bar that feel more expensive than the room rate.

Pro: Family-friendly and pet-friendly, which is rare in this price range.
Con: It is not on the beach, and the walk involves crossing Phetkasem Road.
Con: The pools are on the small side and have limited shade, according to some guests.
Con: The gym is basic.
Check-in: from 3:00pm
Check-out: by 12:00pm
Smoking: not permitted inside the building
Parking: free on-site parking
Price guide: booking sites were listing rooms from around 2,000 baht a night at the time of writing, with rates rising at weekends and in the cool season
NH Hua Hin is a smart choice if you want a stylish, well-run base in Hua Hin without paying beachfront prices. The rooftop pool, family facilities and pet-friendly rooms set it apart, and the beach, Khao Takiab and the night markets are all close. If waking up on the sand is the whole point of your trip, look at a beachfront resort instead. For almost everyone else, it is excellent value.
